Liberation from Compulsive Eating

One needs great effort to cease the uncontrollable craving for food. Therefore, improve your fighting skills to beat compulsive actions. This fight is for freedom; avoid failure. You can feel ardent emotions and choose not to give in. Order yourself, "I refuse to stop. I am steadfast. I refuse to fall." During the emotional turmoil caused by enticement, question yourself, what are my goals? Eating to reduce stress is not what you want. What you really desire is to be serene. Eating out of anger is not what you want. You need to resolve the issue. You do not want to eat simply because you are afraid. You need to face it and conquer it. You do not want to eat because you are bored. What you really need is, a goal that will create some excitement within you. Do not fight obsessive thoughts, but turn them into empowering thoughts and rewarding activities. Take mini-breaks to manage your mood and cut the pattern of obsessive thinking. Spend a few minutes doing something pleasurable until the emotions ebb. Listen to music, get some exercise, take a brisk walk, or take up yoga. You will not only be overcoming obsessive thoughts, but upgrading your life. Do not yield; when you give in, the pleasure will create a desire to repeat it. Reaffirm to yourself that junk food is false pleasure. If you do not nurture a craving, it will stop. If you become restless, slowly take a deep breath, hold it for a second, and exhale, think serene. Create the emotion of revulsion until you are sickened: screeching wheels in a sudden stop, or hair floating in your soup, Picture an image that suits you. Use negative tagging. Chips are flavored pieces of fat and cholesterol. Build your own negative tags for the foods you are attempting to avoid. Use this mental routine to the end; look at the whole picture. Do not concentrate just on the pleasure, but rather be conscious of all the unwanted possibilities. When you focus yourself, you feel that something was denied, and feel cheated. Battle that emotion with the truth that you have what it takes to be happy. Challenge the emotion of loss. Always remember the unhealthy qualities of the food you abhor. Do not eat them. Steer away from triggers like fast food outlets and donut stores. Reduce your time in the kitchen or at the lunch table when temptation lurks. Your meals must be planned. Snack on fruits and vegetables. The first few days can be the most difficult. If you are out of it and feel weak, it will be difficult to focus your mind. Managing direction requires work, and toxic feelings lead to an irresponsible attitude. It will vanish once the blood clears of toxins. Do the best you can through out these times to be firm.
