Are You Tired of Diets not Working?
You have tried diet after diet after diet. You lose a little, then you gain a little, and eventually you give up.
You go looking for something new. You need to find something that works for you. Your persistence in trying and
searching for "the right" diet is actually pretty amazing. If you could put half of this effort into something
that really works, you would probably have a model figure in six months.
That's if you can find the right diet......
Could it be the problem lies somewhere else? Some people used exactly what you used before and it worked for
them. Could it be medical? Could it be psychological? Could it be that you are just missing a piece of the puzzle
somewhere?
Let's take a look at what you would like to do. You want to lose weight. You want to keep it off. That means you
need to change much more than your eating pattern. You have to look at how you got here. Only then can you decide
how to reverse the process.
Did your lifestyle change?
Did simply become careless as to what you eat?
Did you develop bad habits like having a snack whenever you feel like it?
Did you become less active?
Did you just allow yourself to become "caught up in life", and stopped caring?
Did you succumb to criticism, and simply accepted this is "how you will always be"?
Whatever the reason may be, it is going to require huge changes to rectify it. The damage may have been done over
a period of years, but you do not want to spend a few years to return to where you were. On the other hand you
must keep in mind that something created over a long period, will not vanish overnight. You can expect it to take
time, and that the results of your efforts may not always be consistent.
It is this lack of consistency that causes many people to give up. Most of us want to see results equal to the
efforts we made, so we expect results today for what we did yesterday. Losing sight of the "big picture",
becoming demotivated, and giving up seems to be a regular pattern for many people.
The problem arises through a lack of motivation, support and encouragement. The people around you do not know
what challenges you are facing, and when you feel like giving up, they simply "accept", instead of really being
there for you.
In order for you to achieve your goal, you need to be motivated constantly. You need to be supported and
encouraged regularly. You need to be able to connect with others who are striving towards the same goal.
