Keeping a Positive Outlook on Life

Modern science tells us as a fact, that our world is nothing more than a projection or a mirror image of your inner world. There's a principle in the universe that states that for anything new to live, something first must die. Death and life are two opposite poles. There's a Law of Polarity, which is discussed in James Ray’s The Science of Success, of the same dance.

We've been going through some tough times in our world, in our nation, in our consciousness. You know some challenges over the last several years have accelerated rapidly and some people would look at that and say that's horrible, it's bad. But maybe it's the absolute death of the old, and it's a good thing that's facilitating the open awareness and this renewal that the people are searching for. They are stepping back and saying the old answers aren't working and so I've got to find something that does work.

The Science of Success includes a number of laws. James talks about the Law of Cause and Effect, and one of the stories in there is when James went to do some morale building in a plant that was going to be closing in the early 1990’s.

His first visits where getting people not to talk about the closing or not even to think about how this was ending. That was a fact, but he was talking about what the next thing was. It took a lot of time for people to stop talking about the bad thing and get them to talk about the opportunity. Sometimes it's really critical that we look at that birth/death cycle as something that's inevitable, that's part of the world and that really gives us opportunity.

It was Helen Keller that said that any time a door closes, a new door opens and unfortunately we only have a finite amount of attention. So, if we're giving our full energy and attention to the closed door, we're missing all the open doors around us. That attention is so critical in the creation of your life. Most of us have attention deficit disorder when it comes to the things that we desire and deserve and we have attention surplus when it comes to the things that we don't want.

So, it's a matter of disciplining that attention muscle and harnessing it and utilizing it to our advantage.
