Billiard is a very difficult sport to expertise; however, with accuracy, concentration and patience, a player can master this game quite easily. The primary factor to be an essentially good player needs to have sound accuracy, as it is one of the most integral parts of the game. Precision or accuracy determines the grip, aim, and the velocity of stroke.
Patience is also an important factor to get success in billiards. Impatience leads to tensed hands, the flexibility gets reduced and the thought process goes haywire which results in an adverse effect on the player. Once a player gets tensed his decisions may become incorrect and as a result leads to incorrect shots which otherwise would not have happened if the player was relaxed. Because precision plays an important part in the success of this game, a player needs to practice certain shots repeatedly to master it. Practice is obviously a universal truth to be a successful billiards player at the highest level. No wonder the proverb says, “Practice makes a man perfect”. With regular practice it is easy to master the art of billiards in lesser time than it is actually is. Practice modes can involve playing with casual players and also trying different types of shots that can actually pocket the balls in an easier way.
Different billiard stance techniques, body positioning, stance head positioning also contribute for a successful billiards player. Another most deciding factor to be able to play billiard successfully is the cue action. The cue action normally develops based on the confidence of the player. Staying very still while playing shots is imperative as it can only then provide with proper motion of the cue ball to hit the other balls. To stay still loads of concentration is required.
