Getting a financial aid for MS in Computer Science in the USA

Being a Computer or IT professional in the Information age helps to get a high paying job as well as coup up with the growing world. People having computer background always have a dream to go for higher studies in the US and work in the IT industry. The reason behind this is universities offers quality education including practical training and US is the biggest hub of software industries. Following the decision of studying in US, the first question comes in mind is “where to pursue computer science program” and will this help me to get a better job. I have been searching for universities which provide Master of Science in computer science. But most of the universities require GRE and TOEFL examination. Preparation will take more than six month. The other biggest challenge is the cost of education. It’s extremely expensive. Most of the universities don’t have computer science scholarship or grant for international students. Paying $ 20,000- 30,000 per year is impossible. After tiresome search I came up with one university which fulfills my entire requirement. This is “Maharishi University of Management”. For people seeking Computer Science graduate degree have a very good option. It’s a university of its own kind. It solves all the problems of those looking for a computer science program. The first good point about this university is that GRE is optional and TOEFL is not required. The preparation takes almost a year for these exams and the cost is also high. Instead the university tests programming skill by taking online test in programming. MUM provides student financial aid for international students, this make it unique. There are two ways getting financial aid. The first is paying the initial payment and get Computer financial aid which is university loan. I’m one of the beneficiaries from this program. I got a 100% student financial aid. The mode of payment is also very easy. A student starts paying the loan when he/she gets job and that too in comfortable chunks. In other universities, one has to study regularly on campus for the whole duration of course, but in this university the regular period of studies is only 6 to 7 months and after that a student goes for Curricular Practical training. The curricular practical training is a full time job that gives opportunity to apply the knowledge gathered during studies in work and then learning while working. Students get jobs with very good salaries. The remaining of the studies are then done in distant learning and exams are conducted online. The university professors are very good. They keep conducting seminars and discussions on the latest programming trends and software industry requirements like C#, .net, C++, Java and Object oriented programming concepts. The other major point make MUM different from other university is it provides a conscious based study. This helps to manage time as well life. Finally I would say that it’s the best university to have MS in Computer Science in USA. I am lucky to get admission here.
