Shirt Printing Process
Printed shirts are very popular and a must-have for anyone’s wardrobe. While the tee shirt was first introduced it was known only as underwear and took some time to become acceptable as wearing by itself in public. But nowadays you can see everyone walking around in them and hardly any two are ever alike. We can see a wide variety of sizes and styles and of course, there are the custom screen printing tee shirts. Individuals can wear these knowing they are wearing a one of a kind shirt that they themselves made and can be proud of.
Traditional screen printing shirts are a great way to spread the word of something you believe in or want to make others aware of. You can make your own phrase or catch phrase and apply it to the shirt. Experience that while you are out wearing it, people are reading it and becoming aware.
Shirt screen printing is a fascinating process that involves a lot more work then what some people would think. This printing is a manufacturing process that involves a lot of creativity, accuracy and using proper t-shirt screen printing techniques. Earlier you can do any type of t-shirt screen printing you must first have a design in mind. Chosen design can be anything from simple text all the way to an elaborate drawing, and even a combination of both and with t-shirt screen printing your designs can be anything and everything, and your imagination is your only limitation.
Immediately after you have your image created, you make what are called screens. All screens are prepared with the image on it, and are then set to be placed on a screen printing machine. It is a very important process of t screen shirt printing as it needs to be done correctly in order to have the image come out correctly. Then after the screens are made and ready to use for t-shirt screen printing, you must then set up the t-shirt screen printing machines. We must set up each machine by inserting the proper color into the press heads. After setting up the colors, the lighter colors are done first, ending with the darkest colors. Color White would always be the first color with black always being the last color.
At present with t-shirt screen printing, different printing presses have different printing capabilities. While you hear that a machine is a four head press, it means that the machine can print four colors at once. Every individual head can carry a different color. It is important as different machines have different capabilities. Hence if you have seven colors in your design you would need to use a machine that head seven heads or more.
